This workshop has been designed to work with the A Book For All Occasions Kit
HOWEVER if you already have the Living Hinge die plus Fixing Posts &/or your own rings, the workshop is perfect for you too.
The workshop mainly uses Shady Designs Sur-Round stamp set to create the backgrounds but again easily adapted to suit any of the Shady Designs stamp sets (see photos)
The workshop shows you how to create a book which you can then adapt for your style of crafting. This means it becomes any book you wish depending on how you craft & the paper/card you like to use.
In the workshop we will be using the A Book For All Occasions Kit.
The workshop is with Lou Sims, Shady Designs Designer.
In the workshop we will be making -
- a background using one of the Shady Designs papers included. Swop this out for a backing paper of your choice. We are using the paper to chose our colours of ink for background building.
- a background from "scratch" taking inspiration from our first made background
- showing how to create and use a "mop up" sheet
- making a book using Dollyboard & Living Hinge die. Swap out Dollyboard for rigid card or layers of heavy weight card glued together.
- decorating the book using Strength A5 stamp set. Alternatively use a stamp set that you already have.
- how to use and add fixing posts. Change fixing posts for rings or even ribbon.
The workshop is not one continuous video but has been split in to FIVE different parts. This means it will be easier to stop & start as you wish.
This would be a whole day workshop if taught in person!

Workshop is hosted in a private Facebook Group and is pre-recorded. Once purchased an email will be sent to you with a link to the workshop and information needed to enter.
Additional items used:
- black inkpad
- coloured ink pads to match backing paper
- micron pens
- white pen (gelly roll, posca etc)
- gel medium or glue of choice
- colouring medium of choice (images in workshop coloured with alcohol pens)
- paint or water brush
- blending tools or foams
- stamp blocks or platform
- scissors or knife
- die cutting machine
