********************************************************

Highly scented and carnivorous flower.  Grows in the damp or boggy part of the garden.  Likes its roots submerged in water.  Red pollen on the ends of long stamens are sticky and glossy and are used like tentacles to catch insects flying by.  These insects are then pulled into the red basin which is filled with poisonous liquid. The insects are ingested through its spotty throat.  It is a small and wide flower and likes to grow in groups.  Other garden flowers who can tolerate the damp areas, like to be planted next to it, to keep them pest free.  Sew seed in Autumn for spring flowers.  It does not eat Butterflies or Moths as they are too big and is a favourite of  Dolly Town snails who are immune to its poison and drink the liquid from its red basin.  Friendly and chatty but known to be blunt and abrupt.

Magical Uses:

Use the root for soups and stews. Has a peppery taste.
