FLOWER OF WOE
(FLORE CORONAM INSIGNEM)
Folk Names:
Weeping Hearts, Sad Daisy, The Screamer, Cowardly Trumpet.
30cm x 20cm
********************************************************
A very needy flower, highly scented but does need a lot of attention. Only lifts its petals when it is happy. Petals are heart shaped and droop and shake when it is sad. Petals lift when it is touched so needs to be stoked a lot throughout the day. Plant seed in Autumn for Spring flowers and plant in a sunny position. Spread seed out well as it is quite a large flower. It is not popular with other garden flowers because it is prone to weeping. Plant next to Hazy Daisy for good company and sympathy. Always tie down when pruning or cutting as it screams loudly and ducks under the soil. Attractive to garden creatures when it is not weeping but generally avoided by all as its sadness spreads. It comes in various colours but the most scented variety are pale blue. Plant it with a Happy Life Quote Tag to help it with motivation.
Magical Uses:
Crush up red pollen to make vivid red lipstick.

If used in a tincture or tea, add sugar to stop you from weeping.
