In the workshop we will be making quick, easy layered backgrounds.
The workshop will be run on 5th November 2023 at 10am in a private Facebook Group.
Link to workshop will be sent via email. Enter your invoice number and the name that appears on the invoice to gain entry.
What will you need?
- 3 blending ink pads - choose colours that you enjoy working with. Working with colours that we know blend or compliment each other, really helps when making backgrounds. Also helps take away some of the unknown.
- black ink pad - as we are not colouring per-say, go with your favourite.
- stencil(s) - I will be using a mix of Shady Design stencils. HOWEVER any stencils will work for the backgrounds we are making today.
- stamps - I will be using a mix of Shady Design stamps and will post on 4th November which main designs I will be using, (if you wish to join in with me). HOWEVER, any background stamps will work for the backgrounds we are making.
- card / journal / tags - I will be working on card as it is easy to demo that way. We will be working on different sizes: A4, A5, square, tags. Work with the substrate you feel comfortable creating blended designs on.
- extras - stamp blocks/slims, blending tools, mister bottle, scrap paper, paint brush
What will we cover?
- We are going to be looking at quick ideas to make full A4 sized backgrounds which create a multi-layered look.
- How to use the backgrounds to make smaller projects for card making, on tags etc
- Using shapes to help create backgrounds and make focal areas.
How long will the workshop last?
In my head, I think will will be together for at least 1.5 hours, however it my run over.
